Radhi Shenaishil Swadi (Arabic: راضي شنيشل سوادي‎, Born on August 11, 1966 In Baghdad, Iraq), was a caretaker for the Iraqi National Football Team.

Playing career

Radhi Shnishel was born and brought up in Al-Thawra City in Baghdad. He started his footballing career with Al-Tayaran club in Baghdad as a youth player. The intelligent defender once captained an Iraqi Under 20's team and helped them to top their group which included Spain, Norway and Argentina, who they beat 1-0 with Shnishel scoring the winner from a penalty against a side featuring Diego Simeone and Roberto Bonano in the FIFA World Youth Championship in Saudi Arabia in 1989.

In the summer of 1999, he retired from international football after the Pan-Arab Games final loss against hosts Jordan on penalties, he scored Iraq's only penalty in a 3-1 shoot-out loss, but also scored an own-goal during the 90 minutes in a game which ended 4-4. The libero was voted into the Asian Cup XI of U.A.E'96 with team-mate Laith Hussein after helping Iraq to the quarter-finals.

Coaching career

After successfully leading Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and Al-Zawraa to consecutive league finals in 2007 and 2008, Radhi was chosen to lead the Iraq national football team in 2009 for two friendly matches. The first match was against Saudi Arabia which ended 0-0. The second match was friendly in Seoul against South Korea which ended in a 2-1 defeat.
